The KIEFER HABLITZEL | GÖHNER Art Prize is open to Swiss citizens, or artists who have been living in Switzerland for at least one year or are enrolled at a Swiss higher education institution, up to the age of 30 (born in 1997 or later), with a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification.
First round procedure
- Registration from 23 October to 3 December 2026.
- When registering, you upload a scan of a Swiss identity document (ID card or passport), a residence permit valid for at least 12 months or proof of enrolment at a Swiss higher education institution, as well as confirmation of your Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification.
- For collaborative works, one person enters the details of all eligible group members (including ID scans).
- The Kiefer Hablitzel Foundation checks eligibility. Admitted applicants will receive an email inviting them to upload their digital portfolio. Deadline for uploading the portfolio: 15 December 2026.
- The jury selects the participants for the second round (Swiss Art Awards, Basel, June 2027). Applicants will be notified of the decision in writing by the end of February 2027.
